ACS Underground Solutions was contracted to complete a job at Fordham University www.fordham.edu located in New York, New York.
The Fordham University contract involved marking out utilities for new construction to the existing building; the existing utilities had to be protected while excavation took place. At the site there was a large quantity of fiber optic lines which had no tracer wire connected to them. Therefore, ACS technicians had to use flexi trace and make a traceable signal on these very important communication lines. There were many other lines in the area which included steam, fire and domestic water lines. These utility lines would have been hit if ACS did not properly mark out these lines for the contractor. All lines were successfully verified with vacuum excavation. |
