Customer Q & A

Question: I have 5000 feet of pipe with no valves on the system. Can you find the leak in my system?

Answer: ACS provided American Pump and Tank with a gas test on the newly installed 12” water main, the gas surfaced on a mechanical joint which was loose and this saved the contractor digging every joint to find his problem.

Question:
There is a water main buried on my site – it needs to be located for a connection. No one can find it. Can you?

Answer:
ACS conducted a site survey to find the water main for Elmsford NY, the pipe was over 19ft deep and under Interstate 287, a major highway. With the equipment that was brought to site, ACS was able to locate the depth and direction of the pipe, so that the connection could be made, GPR was also used to verify the result.

Question: I have no clue what utilities are in my way to drill my boring locations. Can you clear each location?

Answer: ACS got the task of clearing utilities in NYC on 10th and 30th at the West Side Railroad. The job was for Parsons. Forty five test bores had to be drilled for the developer for new construction. ACS gave the contractor the 45 test bores clearance and the confidence to drill. The job was completed with success.

Question: My water usage seems to have increased. Can you check the
meter for accuracy?

Answer: ACS provided Stamford Hospital an in line meter test for accuracy at low flow, mid flow and high flow, the water meter at the hospital was running 25% faster costing Stamford Hospital over $25,000 per year in over-charges.

I just installed 700 feet of pipe and the pressure will not hold.
Can you help?

Answer: ACS provided a gas test on the pipe and the leak was excavated in a one hole dig saving the contractor thousands of dollars digging each and every joint.
